Getting older, but not any wiser

Almost 72 photographs of you and you and me and you, all of them gone just like that. They say everything happens for a reason.... I suppose I don't need more visual reminders.

If at first you don't succeed, you dust yourself off, push yourself back up and try again. I swear, the reason why we keep trying every time we get knocked down is for that pinnacle moment when you do get it right. For that moment when it feels like everything's seamlessly freefalling into place, and you could try your hardest to but you just can't wipe that silly big smile off your face. For that moment when you can breathe out a sigh and say "this is it". For joy.

And at that very moment... you'll know that it was all worth it.
